On this Sunday, ADX Florence lost all power, meaning, all jail cells were opened. The prisoners residing there were released from their cells and grouped together to hurt the guards and escape, which was successful. 6 guards dead. 300 prisoners are now on the loose. The guards that did survive said,
Complete and utter riot, prisoners everywhere, guards down, shots flying, it was a total disaster. I would stay inside until further notice, just to be sure.
Ambulances showed up, took away 15 guards with minimal to severe injuries. 6 were pronounced dead on scene.
